obsession? what obsession?

despite my excessive purchase of polaroids, I'm still lusting over an SX-70 - I'll stop after that one! And my discovery of the week at Oxfam is a maritsa 30 typewriter; I just couldn't resist, the blue was just calling out for me!

you know you're an art student when...

- you stop referring to your dirty dishes as dirty, and start to call them art projects, just so you won't have to wash them.
- your messy room is just organized clutter and really you know exactly where everything is.
- you wake up in the morning and subconciously assess the levels of daylight and how they would affect your cameras aperture.
- paint/chemical fumes have become the scapegoat for any weird behavior.
- you have accidentally drunk your dirty paint water instead of your cup of coffee
- you see a smashed coffee cup on the floor and the coffee from it next to it, and briefly wonder if it's an installation piece
- you start co-ordinating your clothes in the morning based on the colours of paint they're stained with, and not their original colour

I paid a visit to Kew Gardens in London today; lovely visit but the journey is far too much of a trek! The greenhouse reminded me of Hogwarts! Because of the humidity in there, my camera lenses steamed up but I love the magical, dream-like effect it gives in the polaroids

I adore Katherine Jenkins' look in her new video; the long blonde hair, leopard print and 60s make up, she looks almost Bardot-esque

D.I.Y - sequined leotard

some photos of the progress of (one of) my current creative endeavours. The sequined leotard! I took an old ballet leotard and some sequins and beads and just started to hand sew them on - relatively self-explanatory; although bare in mind that patience is almost definately a virtue when doing this.
